-The teachers have control of most elements of the classroom. In the first video the teacher is leading the discussion by calling on students. She controls who talks and who doesn't talk. In the second video the teacher is controling the lesson going on. She first tells the students where and where not to sit and then she instructs them to come over the front of the room to sit. Here is where she resituates many students and gives them directions on how to sit and behave while she is reading the book. The teachers in both of these videos control the behavior elements and what is appropriate to exhibit within the classroom.
-The motivation is different in each classroom because the age is different. In the first video the kids may not be as motivated or interested in what the teacher is talking about. Therefore, they aren't as eager to respond or participate and this is why the teacher has to call on them even when they didn't raise their hand. Where at a younger age students are motivated because they are intersted in learning new material. When the teacher asks a question the students all raise their hands and the teacher has to tell students to settle down and she chooses on a student that wants to participate. At a younger age students are more interested in learning new information then at a young age.
