Mod 18 Post 2

The first teacher is in control of her class and what they are learning. The second teacher lets the students explore for themselves. Although the second class' students have more control over what they're learning, the teacher is still in control of the class. This is because the teacher is in control of every element except the learning - and even that is guided.

I would expect the second class to me more motivated about what they are learning because they have some say in it. Personally, if I were in the first class, I would probably go to sleep. I think the first teacher would extrinsically motivate students and the second would be more likely to intrinsically motivate students.

  1. I seem to have the opposite opinion of most's people's opinion about this. I thought the teacher in the first video was trying to get the students to have more peer interaction, but the straight rows of desks was hindering it. The second teacher was very particular in how the students answered questions.
