-The theory I found most useful in the past weeks was guided discovery. This is also the teaching method that I would most like to use. These two match up because they are the same method of teaching. This was really also the only teaching method that I saw over the previous weeks.
-Any lesson in my field is almost always guided discovery. I would teach a lesson on how to throw a frisbee in my PE class. I would show the students the fundamentals and key points on how to throw the disc but it would be up to them to get a feel for it with their own body. This ensures that they will learn how to do it but it may take different students varying amounts of time. I chose this method over others because PE is a hands-on subject. With myself as the teacher being there to provide guidance for the students they are easily likely to learn the skills that I show them. My learning objectives are for students to be able to learn and practice how to throw a frisbee on their own. This accomplishes that by having the students practice as I guide them and show them better ways to perform that skill.
