- One thing that I wonder about is if every teacher designs there room according to what was described in the book for each way the class was designed. Do they have motives when trying to set up their classroom to look a certain way, or do they just design their classroom how they want it to look. I am also curious about if many teachers know that the first few days will set the behavior tone of the classroom. When looking back to the first few days of any new class they really did define the behavior and mood that the teacher set for the entire year.

- In a classroom it is diffcult to give the students control over the classroom and to be disciplined by themselves. There could be chaos and things could go very wrong if the students are out of hand and do not particpate well while leading the class. Therefore, I think that it is the teachers responsiblity to make sure that this doesn't happen. One way that a teacher could demonstrate how a class is suppose to be led is by showing good examples of appropriate behavior. In the socialcognitive way of learning children learn by their models. A teacher could be a model, therefore students will learn from their teachers. Also, to keep the classroom calm when it's being led by the students the teacher could emphasize the rules of the classroom. All the rules still apply and will give the students some guidance when leading the classroom. The teacher has to be prepared at any time to step in and help the students out as well. Students could be productive, but at the same time they could get very distracted and off topic which could lead to unproductivity.
Also, teachers could do a pre lesson before they give the classroom over to the students. They could go over what is appropriate behavior when leading or teaching the classroom. The students could come up with rules and regulations that they are suppose to follow and if they don't there could be some kind of discipline. Then students will be aware of how they are suppose to be acting and also looking out for their classmates to make sure that they are abiding by the rules as well.

  1. In regards the classroom setup, I remember in one of my education classes, the teacher did not want our backs to each other. Since it was more of a discussion class, she wanted everyone to be comfortable to talk. It felt like we were talking more with our peers instead of to just the teacher. I think most of the time teachers have a reason for why they set up the classroom the way they do. Whether it be that they are promoting group work, classroom discussion, or focusing on the teacher. I think it all has to do with what content you are teaching.
