Module 23: Blog Posting #2

1. If you have information in long term memory, but fail to retrieve it, what is happening? Is it gone from long term memory? Could you retrieve it two weeks later?

2. Can you change a student’s Piagetian stage by giving them more challenging tasks? Can you scaffold (using Vygotsky techniques) a 2 year old so that he, within a few months, shows abstract and hypothetical thought?

3. How do elaboration or other forms of encoding build long term memory? Does working memory capacity matter? Does sensory memory matter?
