Blog Post 2, Creativity and Giftedness

1) To be honest, the whole "brain and development" chapter confuses me a little bit. The process of pruning is a bit confusing, and I really don't know what to believe and what not to believe as far as brain research goes. The book clearly explained some of it, but there are still some fuzzy areas, so a general overview of the topic would be helpful.

2) I think a lot of people - including me- messed up that video where we had to guess what stage of Piaget's development theory the two children were in. I'd like more distinctions as far as the differences in each stage, so I don't make the same mistake again!

3) I'd like a more concrete explanation of why sometimes we forget things that are in our long-term memory. In the powerpoint, it's the question that says "If you have information in long term memory, but fail to retrieve it, what is happening?" I know that the information isn't gone forever, but what exactly is happening?
