Continuation of Post 2

-From my experience I was able to recall the pictures better after reading the story I had made up. It was fascinating for me to realize that this actually works and that when I have to memorize other types of things I will keep this in mind.

-This method works better then just looking at the images because first, the story is being inputed into your brain. Then the sensory memory takes the story and puts it into your working memory because it is a story and it is important to remeber each step as you are learning the rest of the story. Then the working memory,or the short term memory realizes that you need to learn the whole story plot to understand the entire story. Also, since you are later going to need to recall these animals it's important to learn them. After using rehearsal and reading the story a few times you are encoding the images into your long term memory. Then the story is put into your long term memory and is there until you need to recall the images that are being shown. Over time you might forget the story and then forget the images because they are not that important and do not come up in your everyday life.
